Marion and Hugh welcome you to excellent ensuite bed and breakfast accommodation and great food and bar meals at the Ugthorpe Lodge Country House Hotel and Country Inn, situated just off the A171, twixt Whitby and Guisborough, on the North Yorkshire Moors & Heritage Coast and in both Heartbeat and Herriot Country. We are also a great Functions and Parties Venue.

There is a large separate children's room with pool table. Once a hunting lodge and dating back to 1605, this stone-built country house hotel and pub, reputedly haunted, offers ensuite accommodation, good food and friendly service in its bar / pool bar and conservatory.

The Lodge provides occasional entertainment at weekends.

Adjacent to Ugthorpe Lodge Caravan & Camping Park, the hotel is set in the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Surrounded by trees and lovely views across to Whitby Abbey, the location means we are ideally situated for touring both coast and country, with no shortage of places to visit and things to do.

Cycling, horse riding, fishing, golf and a beautiful coastline are all at hand. For those of you who are walkers, we offer a transportation service to the start / end of your walk. Both the Cleveland Way and coast to coast walk run nearby.
